It’s time.
Our pants are on. Our bums are squeaky. Our eyes are alight with the fullness of competition and desire to win. It’s time to kick this thing into overdrive.
If you’re reading this, you’re most likely aware that Jimmy Conrad, our benevolent soccer media overlord, broadcasts on Twitch in addition to his work with CBS, EA, any number of YouTube and social media videos he creates. You also probably know that he’s spent the last year or so building a little team to help create the most entertaining show possible. We write. We talk. We build graphics and games and ways to interact with people directly in a way that your normal sports talk show simply does not allow. And it’s all been leading to this.
On Wednesday, June 2nd, The Full 90 with Jimmy Conrad will start broadcasting 40 hours a month. We’re talking live talk show. We’re talking watch parties. We’re talking guest interviews. We’re talking some pre-recorded goodies like Coach Jimmys, Deep Soccer Thoughts, the Jimmy Conrad Home Shopping Network, and more.
In addition, the Twitch show will now be split into two: Europe and the Americas. We know not everyone can afford to watch every waking moment, and that our audience is global. So we’re splitting the show in two: an early show, one that will usually go live at 1:00 pm EST/10:00 am PST, that will focus on Europe the club game, and will routinely throw in news from the Eastern hemisphere to boot, and a late show, that will start at 4:00 pm EST/1:00 pm PST, which will feature news and content on MLS, Liga MX, South America, and more from the Western hemisphere. If you want to watch both shows, you can! If you find yourself only interested in the European game, or are more of an “MLS above everything else” type of person, you now have dedicated shows for each!
Watch parties will be going in full force this summer as well, with the Euros, the Gold Cup, and (hopefully) the Copa America all happening, and you can still count on Fantasy 5-a-sides and prizes to give away happening alongside them. Can’t get to the pub for a game, or just don’t have one around? Hang out with us. We promise we’re a good time.
It all starts on Wednesday, where we start previewing the Euros early in the day, then switch our focus over to the Americas. We’ve got plenty of content lined up for the next couple weeks, including an interview with special guest Steven Mandis, author of “What Happened to the USMNT” on Monday, June 7th for the Americas show. And as far as Europe goes, how can we not give our opinions on the Trent Alexander-Arnold England squad saga, or the man so concerned with “saving” European football, Florentino Perez, not being able to think of a single better thing to help his squad out than just signing Carlo Ancelotti, again?
It’s the same news, the same opinions, the same nonsense. There’s just about to be way more of it. Join us for the ride. If you don’t, you’ll make James Rodriguez cry. I mean, he might be crying already. But still. You don’t want to make him cry more, right?
